If there's one thing you need to know about me...

I look terrible in most photos. I fall into a category of people who experience "facial fail" 87% of the time a camera is up to 6 feet away. But this wont stop me for posting these pictures on this blog... no siree! The following photo dump is aimed to make you jealous that I have so many beautiful friends and a carefree lifestyle which revolves around eating gorgeous food around Perth:

4/12/10 This is the outfit that I managed to put together if you read my last post for the 1920s party
Furr is so sexy

Aaaannd cue "facial fail" example:

Boom! bet you didn't see that one coming

6/12/10 - Carlton Dry Industry Nights presents Thank God It's Monday:
feat Cloud Control @ Universal Bar

What an amazing night! A free gig (awesome band!) and a free beer upon entry. Don't drink a Fusion Black unless it's chilled. It goes down so easily doesn't have that nasty after taste. Perfect beer for girls right? haha!
# Note to readers # If you see a guy drinking one of these, you can be certain he doesn't have a girlfriend!

9/12/10 Where would I be without my peppermint tea?
Toast in East Perth serves loose leaves! I love it, such an organic feeling.
Whenever I order peppermint tea and a pot of boiled water with a Twinings bag is plonked on my table, my heart sinks a little knowing it's the same peppermint tea I already have at home. Maybe it's just a little bit of Asian stinginess within me, but for $3.50 I'd like to have an experience I can't get from my 10c per sachet

Actually, I'd probably enjoy peppermint tea any way you serve it to me. So hike up your tea prices local cafes! Because I'm gonna drink you dry...

I ordered some vegetarian lunch. It's pumpkin, hummus, spinach and cream cheese on turkish bread. Yum yum :) I could actually just eat the hummus and spinach on its own, so so good

Here is my friend Viv :)
We have been friends for 16 years

Did you know... I wear glasses?
:O

Just on a side note, I've had that leather strap around my wrist since Southbound (January 2010) Is this cool or kinda gross?

9/10/12 (Evening) Had dinner, desert and a drink with the beautiful Matt after work :)

Unfortunately I have no photos of the AMAZING and generous portion of roast duck w/noodle soup I had from Saigon in Northbridge. Pretty sure I will order the exact same thing next time in the near future, so delicious and so cheap. You can always tell when Asian food is good when there are fellow Asians slurping their soups and clacking away with chopsticks.

Speaking of, how funny is it when waiters just assume that can/cannot use chopsticks! Fortunately for me I am an Asian who knows how to use them, so that avoids any embarrassment on my behalf *Phew* Thank you, parentals!

This is Matt:
He complained once that I feature everyone on this blog except him..
What a baby
(Hi! If you are reading this :) )

We went to The Moon Cafe and had a fruity shaker and a hot mudcake with icecream..
There are no photos of the mud cake because as soon as we locked eyes with it, it was the end of the road the for the deliciously MOIST chocolate haven.
Devoured.In.Moments.

11/12/10 Went to San Churros in Subiaco
Extra caramel for the churros = epic win!

Miin digging into her Jus Burger bag :)

Mia scoffing down her strawberry chocolate sundae

Stuffing ourselves with the most amazing burger rings from Jus Burgers

And BOOM! Cue the Face Fail

The 1920's

Urgh! I'm so disorganised! This Saturday I have to get together a swingin' 1920's outfit together for a 21st. So, I'm google imaging outfits and accessories that I may have some sort of hope in acquiring for the occasion. I really like the fashion, I wish I could find more of these items in the op shops around Perth but chances are slim for genuine items - considering the 20's was like 90 years ago! (my goodness, where has all that time gone?) *cough* crappy American sitcoms *cough*

Here are some of my key finds: (within the first 4 page searches; because yes, I am lazy)

mmm... bird inspired

Pretty sure these head pieces are sold everywhere nowadays! I have a feathered hair clip somewhere...

But what if I want to wear a hat? Hats are pretty. I have a very similar one to this that I could add a crazy bow/ribbon to...
On another note: I will definitely be wearing short pearls instead of the long loose ones. I have decided that:
Short Pearls = classy
Long Pearls= Tarty

Yes yes yes, loving the hat and red lippy too :)
(yeah I can tell it's red in a b&w picture, because I'm from Hufflepuff)

Some like it modern

Some like it in Sepia...
This isn't very 1920's hey...she looks more like a hippie. In a good way, just saying!

Biiiiig feather boa!
There is no way I can get my hair to be that curly...

I love this photo
1. Beautiful composition
2. Clothes for the oppressed woman - yes. I am so there!
3. I have shoes like that, so that's sorted

That man in the background looks so seedy. I can imagine him just about to yell out:
"Bitch, get in the car! And bring my lunch!"
No? Well, some variation of that appropriate to the period.

I really like this pic. So cheeky ;-)

I think that's all from me now. I really want to post some nice pictures from my birthday but I'm waiting on mass parcels to arrive from Topshop and Ebay. hahaha. So for now all I have is a pretty photo of me to suffice you another week: (Yes I am aware I write like I have a large audience when my "minions" list is actually quite small, consisting mainly of my friends in real life!)

Temptation

Hello! Today I made a new lippy purchase :)

It's Rimmel 166 - Temptation. My mum say's it makes me look like I'm 40 years old; this suits me fine because sometimes I believe I'm a 40 year old conservative trapped inside this 19 year old body...

11 more days till exams are over and I can welcome the summer holidays woot :)

I shall leave you with a video of my youtube crush, Charlieissocoollike <3

I drool over things I can't have

Topshop seriously pains me when I see darlings like this flash across my screen:

$240(GBP) is a bit out price range for this casually employed, Uni student. *sad face*

I'll admit, I'm majorly procrastinating looking at all these online retail sites. Here is a quickie rundown of what I'm avoiding in November:
5th: Passenger @ Norfolk (Avoiding researching for the review I am going to write)
10th: PR Conference for Uni (Avoiding... public speaking, enough said)
12th: Central Park battle of the bands (Avoiding researching haha)
26th: Consumer Behaviour Exam (50% weighting, enough said?)
28th: My Birthday (avoiding organising an event that will satisfy my different social groups - haha that actually sounded like I have lots of friends?)

I think I have let you into my life way too much today
This may or may not be deleted at a later date

I'm going to make some chilled turkish apple and cinnamon tea
Photos up later

Alice does Halloween

Happy Halloween! As you can see I decided to go for the sickly cute Alice in Wonderland.
White stockings are actually so awesome, I think I'm in love!
The dress is from this new place called Paper Scissors and it was only like $36!
And I made the apron myself :) hand stitched of course in my sweat shop

This is the brooch I was wearing:
<3 ebay!

Tonight I'm going to watch The Edukators, yeah it's German and automatically awesome. Check it out if you're into subtitled movies and political plot lines

I love Cassette Tapes!

I'm just going to photo dump on you some pics I took for my other blog
I dug up the cassettes my dad still kept. There is an Electric Light Orchestra - Out of the Blue here... but it's just the casing and no cassette :(

Hopefully it turns out okay :)

Fail Whale!

This semester wraps up in 36 days. Yes my friends... all that is keeping me from my summer holidays is one major presentation and an exam. But is actually has been all fun and games so far...

...because I like corn
I went to Hush in Fremantle for coffee and nibbles with Troy :)

The coffee at Hush is absolutely amazing! It's like drinking velvet <3 We also went to the markets!
Friday @ Freo Markets are the best. Not that many people and plenty of yummy red strawberries :)

Until next time folks
